Goree island tour
For those interested in the History of Slave Trading, this tour is a wonderful option. It helps you understand the History behind the Slave Trade from an African perspective but also, beyond the books as well.
GOREE is a valuable place to understand History because it tells the story of millions of Africans whose lives were traumatized and disrupted. It also tells the atrocities that African Slaves went through for over 350 years. They were kept here until they were shipped across the Atlantic Ocean to South America, North America, the Caribbean to create the New World. The island is an exceptional testimony to one of the greatest tragedies in the History of human societies. The highlight of your visit to GOREE is the Slave House. A visit to the Door-Of-No-Return in the infamous Slave House will give you a vision of African Slaves being led onto the ships, yelling and crying for mercy.
You cannot visit GOREE island and take a single step in the streets of GOREE without being reminded of the abominable African Slave Trade.
